Hello people

I started with building this site in the year 1998. Until then there was very little information about the Lakota in the german language available, especially about history and culture of this people.
This site is not meant to cover all the different Native American Cultures but the current situation of the Lakota and is additionally informing visitors of their past
Of course I will give my best to catch up on today's events and situations, since this is much information to deal with.
Unfortunately there were technical and other reasons that kept me from keeping the site up-to-date. That's why I took the site out of the internet.
In the meantime I had to assert, that I was not the only one with the same thinking and that you could find more and more german websites. One example is Andrea Cox .
She had almost the same information like me, only a little more detailed.
So I tried to do something new since I had so many things in my mind, that I wanted to put on my site.
That's why I began with many different things on my website and later I didn't know what part to finish first.
That was the reason why I changed a few things and the change still goes on. Therefor it's gonna take a little more time until the site is in accordance with my vision.
The only thing I wanted to point out is, that a lot of people created an image of the native americans using rumors, presumptions and exaggerated narrations, that has nothing to do with the true appearance of the so called "noble savages".
But there is no political interest behind it, either, just a little more clear representation of "who" they were and "how" they lived – those "indians".
The pictures of the performances you find in the gallery, were shot at events here in Austria.
Of course I would like to publish reports, information about events, exhibitions or similair, as well as suggestionsfrom you, on a special disposed part of my website.
Hereby I'd like to thank everyone who helped me in the past, is helping me now and is going to help me in the future.
I also hope for success in enlarging my site.
